Retro Pizza was founded as a way to both celebrate pizza’s long history and transform it with fresh and tasty ingredients. We wanted to create a pizza that was delicious and kind to your stomach, and so we looked to ancient Roman Pinsa pizza and homemade ingredients. All of our ingredients are fresh or homemade, including our delicious tomato sauce. Come by for a refreshing and homey pizza experience!
WHAT IS PINSA STYLE PIZZA?
Pinsa (pronounced peen-sa) is a centuries-old style of pizza dough that originates from Rome. Pinsa dough has a high hydration and has a light, airy texture as a result of it being made from soy, whole wheat, and rice flour. Its long fermentation period and low levels of gluten make Pinsa pizza easier to digest!
